makes on wonder how crappy our world turned out to be so that when you get a regular work you feel so happy that want to share with others... seems that certain things that should be easy/possible/self-implied are now becoming life changing like winning a lottery... those are all steps backwards, meh :/

Personally a desk job would be hell for me as im one of the doers in the world, one of the ones that takes pride in working hard

It also makes the ale afterwards taste better.
 
DBloke that comment wasn't aiming at you personally, just a general observation... here unemployment is on record numbers and something like a job suddenly became a big deal...

I am glad you got a job that makes you happy my friend :)
 
I over heard them at job center the other day.
"School ends soon so that means some new faces signing on"

You would think they would have some skills right from the off, Mcdonalds is always looking for new people, im a bit over there age to be working there

Congrats Mike, After all the messing around you've had with jobs recently you deserve it.
 
Good news :thumbsup: ... It's always difficult trying to find work these days (especially here in the northern part of England), so it's better to have any job than no job at all ;).

I just got a certificate from the SIA today, ive been waiting for it since January, send it all off wait another few weeks and I can work in security/doorman things


this is genuinely quite annoying

most i've done was 1.5years, but all my school mates were on the dole too, so it was fun, but ain't fun nowadays, last ''time" i did was 8 months, was loosing it big time, and 90% not even sending back a thanks, but no thanks letter :o
