I'm a big fan of Bitmap books. They are all so lovingly crafted with top quality printing and construction. And some amazing content.
They might initially look expensive, with most being £29.99, but these are large coffee table books that are hardbacked, with proper bindings so they stay open on any page properly when laid flat. Very high quality full colour printing and most weighing in at over 500 pages. You also get a full free PDF version of each book included with your order.
Many of their books have been out of stock for many months due to a lot more people buying them during lockdown and it being hard to get print reruns. Thankfully last week many of their books were finally back in stock.
I already own quite a few of them, but there are still some I've wanted. Last week I ordered the art of point and click Adventures, and the official history of the SNK NeoGeo system. They finally arrived yesterday.
There is also a new book due out next month exploring the history of Japanese RPGs. I'm really looking forward to that one. Their existing history of CRPGs book is also highly recommended. That contains a massive amount of detail about nearly every western RPG ever released.
