Hi!

Few days ago, I've purchased here a Minimig 1.1 2Mb pic version, and I'm trying to absorb as many information about it, as I find :)

But some fast answers to specific questions I've not been able to find... can anyone here enlight me? :)

My configuration is Minimig 1.1 2Mb PIC, both in latest firmwares.

1.- How can I enable Action Replay 3 function?
I have AR3.ROM in the root of the SD card, and enabled it on the menu, but after reset or power cycle nothing happens. :?
After that, the menu shows again the ar3 disabled.

2.- If I get an ARM Controller, would I have scroll in the names on the file browser (to see the whole name)? And will it have faster browsing, searching games?

3.- Seems minimig.net is "the forum", but I've searched for the new functions each firmware gives, and only a few options are shown in their threads... anywhere I can see the updates from early firmware to the latest?

Seems that the comparison between ARM Controller and the PIC one are obsolete, and cannot find the "real" advantages on ARM.

ARM FEATURES:

- emulates four floppy drives (IN MY FIRMWARE 4 SHOWS AND I CAN ENABLE THIS 4 DRIVES)

- adds write support to harddrive and floppy disks (AFAIK I CAN WRITE TOO, NOT TESTED YET)

- allow increase of the CPU speed from 7.09 to 49.63 MHz with a 4kb zero waitstate cpu cache (TURBO MODE WORKING IN MY PIC)

- allows usage of long floppy file names (LONG FILENAMES SHOWN IN MY MENU)

- allows usage of directories on the SD card (DIRECTORIES WORKING IN PIC)

- allows unlimited number of files by directory (DON'T KNOW...)

- support for 2 HDF files (ENABLED TOO IN MY MENU, NOT TESTED)

- fast firmware boot (?)

So, which are the real benefits buying an ARM controller??

I know about the SPI mod to speedup HD's... but I don't use hd files on my minimig...

Thanks!!
Regards.
