If its because you already have all the stuff to do it your way rather than mine - then obviously disregard.
My main job is a pinball engineer, so I've got all the gear ready for EPROM's but unfortunately I can only program up to 8Mbit with what I have. In the future I'd love to use 'proper' flash chips but I can't justify buying another programmer just yet. I'm hoping my DPDT switches turned up in the post today so I can get cracking this evening.

p.s This is what I am doing for my day job at the moment:

I can program what ever you like andas you post on my "local forum" (assemblergames) too - I will do a limited number for just shipping costs.

So let me know if you choose to go that route.

Ok, so I made my switchable cart last night and it didn't work :-(
This is odd as I've done exactly the same before and it worked a treat, so I'm not sure what's gone wrong.

At first I thought it was because I'd used the wrong pin (22 instead of 24) but no, I rechecked all my wiring and it was right. I then separated the two chips and by themselves they work fine, which is even more strange.

The only thing I can think of is that I used a M27C4001 and an M27C801 (SMW is 4Mbit, Zelda is 8Mbit) but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't make any difference. I might give it another go with 2 x M27C801's and see how that goes.
