Is the screen scratch free? Do you know if one can run a custom firmware on it?

Screen is 100% scratch free as always housed in neoprene case when not in use.

System reports that it currently has version 6.20 of software on-board and PSP forums say yes downgrading can be done via usage of a Pandora battery.
