i am toying with one of these (never owned one so all would be new)
what is movie play back like?

is the emulation any good?

can you see the screen in sunlight?

You want it for the emulation or for the custom firmwares? I don't use any PSPUAE or such stuff, apart from ScummVM PSP, which plays great and also a custom firmware to play ISO or CSO games.

As for the screen, the custom firmware enables one more higher scale in brightness, so I don't think that you'll have a problem with sunlight.

Sorry for the offtopic Taj.

@Juv, i have one of these but mine is the latest 3000 model which means the custom firmware is not permanent and has to be run everytime i turn the console off and back on.

With the 1000 series (this one) you can update to latest firmware and download 6.60 pro-b10, drop it on the memory card and boot it to launch the custom firmware you can then run a permanent patch so it will retain the firmware on reboot.

I use mine for CSO/ISO PSP games and for emulation of Sega/Nintendo games and apparently the UAE emulation is quite good but i've not used it so can't confirm. Movie use means the movie must be ripped to PSP compatible MP4 but mine works pretty well once you've ripped them.

As for the Sun on the screen you can get a visor that screws in to the top of the PSP and is on a hinge so it closes down over the screen when not in use so protect it.

USB cable

This just extends the Pro Duo memory card so you can insert it into card readers on laptops otherwise they get jammed in the slot.

Emulation is excellent, no slowdowns at all on Megadrive stuff and SNES is mostly good too. As for sunliught, the screen is playable in most cases i'd say.

Yeah they are pretty cool m8, I keep selling mine and getting one back. Well worth getting imo, long as you don't expect good Amiga emulation you will be fine. As Tokyo said megadrive/snes etc work great. Movie playback is also spot on when encoded right, hell I took mine away camping last year with a complete season of oz :)

Thanks for all the help here guys, this isnt my PSP nor have I ever had one so I wouldn't have a clue as to what any of the answers are!

another question (sorry for all the questions, new to this and want to be sure i get the right thing) how do you find out what motherboard revision this is?

i.e TA-082 etc

thanks

Im not sure Justin, anyone know how I can find this out?

Sold to Justin pending payment
