Hi,
I have a Sony Trinitron KV-21XRU that's in need of repair. It has been to the most local repair place I could find (Grendon Audio Visual) and I have been told that without a service manual there is nothing more he can do. It powers on, then straight off again(Red light, no picture). Apparently the "in - out" should be ok but some resistors, etc have burned beyond recognition.
Here is a quote from the email I received:
"The set has had liquid spilt into it at some time. This has caused failure & burning of some components in the line oscillator circuit."
I can't think of anytime it's got wet, so I blame our cats. I've owned the set for 6 years or so and it was the first in my collection so I really want to save it!
Any help or guidance would be much appreciated,
Cheers!
