Now just to state I have one of these membranes and its is fantastic quality - it will easily double the previous membranes life span - in fact I suspect that its is constructed from a stabilized polymer and will last a good 20 years if not more.

You can have my membrane for a fiver. It doesn't work though

The membrane mentioned or the ones from Dataserve retro which are the same price are pretty much the only option if you want a trustworthy one, I'm afraid...

Has nobody got one on a busted speccy they can sell me cheeeeeeap?

The problem with using a busted Speccy is that you won't be able to test the membrane, and since the original membranes are now dying of old age, you're just as likely to end up with another faulty membrane...
