I am pleased that the last lot of parcels have found their homes, I cannot apologies enough for those that have been waiting for so long.

I hope to get the opportunity to make it up to you =)

*Just tiding up some threads

Some of the Posts were in the wrong place - as the rev 3.1D is no longer made - I redesigned it for 3.1E (much better jumper based design)

Hello

Do you still have some of these for sale?

I'm guessing you'd need a CF card for this, but is there another piece of kit you'd need as well to get a hard drive up and running?

I just picked up a +2A without cables at a charity shop last weekend.

Bonus!! charity shops FTW!!!, I love the +2A / B (black) models, they really look the part and with an internal IDE they truly are beasts of deliciousness!

You can use a CF card, as these are small and easy to implement but you can use pretty much anything (non atapi) on the 8bit IDE bus. I have here some 4GB microdrives (CF type II) that work well, as well as a 60GB 2.5" IDE hard disk *(yes 60GB!!!) - although I should say that you only get to access 28.6GB of storage.... for shame.... =/ ;)

I'm interested in one set (controller + rom) if available.

I can certainly accommodate your needs hit me up in PM =)

Still hasnt supplied last batch as far as i know, been waiting for mine for a while

Have you received your parcel yet?

@Thread Update

I only have 4 of these devices left - these will come with the nessasry ROM's for the following + Postage ( £4.50 within the EU an £5 world wide )

£23.99 Spectrum +2A/B and +3
£21.99 Spectrum 128k +2 / ToastRack*

*Please note that I have not covered any tutorials on how to set up / prepare the hard disk device.

Only 4 left and this is my last lot I shall be making.

I received my package as well. This must have been about two or three weeks ago, I don't know exactly because I've been on holidays.

It seems you have recuperated from your health problems. :thumbsup: Let's hope they don't return!

@MaV

I am very glad your package arrived, thanks for letting me know.

I also am hoping that such problems don't return ;) - I have a wonderful regimen of vitamins, minerals alongside a lot of others - yes... I am sure I rattle when I walk ;)

Hi could I have one of the spectrum +3 ones as I have been waiting for tech shack too get them on there web site and still on joy could you please let me know how too pay for this and the total also could you tell me if you can still use the disk drive on the spectrum when I put this in and one last thing is there any thing else I will need too get this working

Thanks:D

At the moment Tech-Shack offer a full ready to go kit with everything you need

Z80 UIDE Adaptor
2x W27E257 EEPROM's freely programmed for +3e
15cm IDE Adaptor
Compact Flash to IDE Adaptor
128MB +3e Configured Compact Flash Card
Installation Guide / Manual

I will PM you with their details

Are there any of these available?
Are they compatible with, and fit inside the toastrack?
If so, I am declaring interest.

@Chinners

I have two left.

The adaptor is compatible with the 48k / 48k+ / 128k and 128k +2 (Grey) as well as the latter Spectrum +3 and +2AB (Black)

You will need to prepare a hard disk device under Pera's Charea DOS - you can use DrvImg for that and then you can put snapshots onto the disk using the same said program.

The adaptor also has a NMI button feature that allows you to load and save snap-shots on the fly =)

I will eventually get round to doing a how too for these systems, sadly I am pressed for time over the next couple of weeks so that will have to wait.

If however you are still interested in having lots of fun with a little adaptor like this, just hit me up in PM =)
