for sale I have a Sun Ultra 5 with the following specs:
1- UltraSparcIIi 400Mhz
2- 256 Mb RAM
3- Updated to latest OpenBoot 3.31
4- Keyboard and mouse
5- Raptor GFX 8 graphics card (note: it seems to work only with a CRT monitor)
6- IDE HD 6.4 Gb
7- DVD R/W unit (note: Solaris 9 needs a patch, otherwise the OS will complain that the device didn't power up unless a disk is inside the unit; this is a well-known bug, but the unit works perfectly)
8- 1.44 Mb floppy drive
9- Solaris 9 pre-installed
The NVRAM battery is dead, but the system boots up fine (it can be easily replaced though.)
The front bezel is yellowed, and the plastic bottom clips of the bezel are broken, however the upper metal clips are fine; this means you can't pick up the unit by the front, but otherwise the functionality of the system is unaffected.
The onboard graphics card works well even with a standard LCD monitor, but the Raptor card seems to require a CRT (well, at least I couldn't make it work with an LCD.)
I am asking £70 (was £120) including shipping (the unit is quite heavy!) and paypal fees.
