Still looking for Super DMAC rev 04.

Just for completeness? Or because you want to do something specific with an A3000?

If it's the latter, you may well find you don't need a DMAC-4 at all. There are lots of rumours about needing to upgrade DMAC and RAMSEY in the A3000 to make it work with certain hardware, most of these rumours aren't true.

Hey, I've found that the Ramsey-07 speeds up a bit A3000 SCSI controller. It's about 0,5MB/s faster than with Ramsey-04, but without the SDMAC-04, it's buggy, there are many errors during file copying.

Interesting, I have a Ramsey together with a DMAC-02 in one of my A3ks, too, but without any Problems!

Hmm... that's very interesting. Are you sure the speedup is not from Ramsey 07 page mode enabled and the transfer errors because you don't have page memory installed?

P.S. What's your Kickstart version?

I have the Fast Page memory installed.
Kickstart was 40.70, now it's 40.68, not tested.

That's interesting. I thought 40.070 was only designed for the A4000T, or in a pinch, the A4000D. I don't think it will work correctly in an A3000. You really need the correct A3000 version of 40.068.

Still, good luck with it and let us know how you get on.
