Just finished assembling a few of these Amiga Boot Drive Selector. It's a switchless mod to boot between the DF0 and DF1 drives. This one enables both drives when booting from either drive so you can use it to copy files from/to the DF0 or Df1 drive. In order to switch drives, you just press Ctrl + Amiga + Amiga for 2-3 seconds. There's no need for a physical switch so you don't have to drill a hole in your precious Amiga.

This looks pretty cool, just a few questions:
Does it maintain state across power cycles?
If not, what is the default state from cold start (df0 = internal?)
Is there any way to self-mod this to incorporate feedback (perhaps a piezo) when you've held it down long enough for a state change to occur?

Does it also work with un-modded external drives, or is there some mandatory modification needed in the external drive?
Also, is it still possible to acesss drives DF2 & DF3 after installing the bootselector?
