Hi all, I bought this mega cd on here last month as faulty. When it arrived it had no front panel and a blown fuse. When I replaced the fuse and got it powered up it wouldn't read a disc. The capacitors had also leaked pretty badly on the main board.
It has now been restored to full working order. All capacitor leakage was cleaned up and fresh caps installed. Fuse has been replaced with a new one. Laser has been replaced with a brand new one (which I had to source from the us), a socket with region free bios installed and a replacement front panel fitted. It now boots and loads games as it should.
Also included is a switchless mega drive 1
Hold the reset button to switch regions.
Green - Pal 50hz
Orange - US 60hz
Red - Japanese 60hz
Machines are supplied with replacement power supplies. These are modern power supplied that have had the cables cut and switched to the right polarity and then heatshrink protected as in photo.
I only have an rf cable which is included so you get a very colourful rainbow screen in 60hz mode. You will need an rgb scart cable to achieve proper colour (available pretty cheaply). Finally a 3rd party quick shot pad is included. No games are supplied.
Asking price is £125 (was £150 then £140) plus p&p
