Yeah I saw that too :)

That's a great addition to GOG. Tempted to get the Alien Breed pair but then I've got it on the Amiga already... Hmm but for $6 might be worth just having it hehe

I too really enjoy Team17 games. I've added those to my GOG Wish List.

@Skilgannon

Just add the games to your Wish List. GOG constantly has sales and you'll probably be able to pick them up at half price if you are patient. I don't think I've ever payed full price for a game on GOG and I've bought about 40 games from them.

 I've bought (just counted them) 96 games off them
Most are RPGs and Space Sims and yes, like Heather most were bought during sales. At least once you download them, you have them for ever, unlike some download providers I could mention

Presently working my way though the Jagged Alliance games in preperation for this! http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/01/05/x...ategy-game-from-the-creators-of-civilization/

After hearing your count, I had to count mine. I show 60 games that I own! Of course, that includes the 4 or 5 free games, but that's still more than I thought.

The thing I like best about GOG is the lack of DRM so I never have to worry about them going out of business. They also give lots of extras with the games, including manuals, soundtracks, wallpapers, and many other things.

Ciao!

I liked GoG until they pulled that silly "we're closing down"... ... ... "NOT REALLY!" marketing stunt.

I also liked Team 17 because of Project X, but then I went royally off them for that cockup they made with one of the original Alien Breed games that made it unfinishable.

I really began to hate them when I poked around at Alien Breed 3D 2. It was supposed to be the Amiga's answer to Doom but due to some seriously novice programming errors.... not just programming errors, but complete and utter software design ineptitude and incompetence, it ran a lot slower than it should (and could) and the actual game itself was dreadful.

**EDIT**

Slight disclosure in that I was the person who modified a patch that was released for AB3D2 that corrected a lot of the speed issues on the original game. I patched the patch so that it ran on the warez version of the game. In looking through the code, I saw some of the dreadful mistakes Team 17 had made.

Man, I missed the GoG holiday sales, wanted to get Freespace and Freespace 2 again since I had a great time playing them!

There are many solid games there, decent provider.

Though I gotta say titles like "Alien Breed" play best on Amigas, they just feel better on their original platform.

Superfrog is now on deck! http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/superfrog

Oh, and Retrograde? If you do decide to go for the Freespace games, do look out for the FS2 Open mod. There is a complete archive over at space sim central
