I came across some old telecom equipment (SYS68K/CPU-60D) with some rev 6 68060s. By making an offer to buy the batch I was able to get them at a price where I could pull the 68060s (the original price was more than a 68060 goes for, even now).

I'm selling them with some (unofficial) TF1260 64MB boards.

I have 5 for now, photos attached. I will have more in the coming weeks (I have to solder the connectors, 68060 sockets, flash and test them).
edit 14/9/22: now 8!

I have tested them all as rev 6 with whichamiga and set the speed to 94MHz successfully with cpuspeed. Note these are the latest 68060 version on the 0.32um process, 71E41J mask and have full fpu and mmu.

They are flashed with the latest (alpha) TF1260 firmware. This is not really intended for sale so I can of course flash them with the older firmware too, though it will not run as fast. See https://exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4947 for details.

The price is 530CHF each. This is 370CHF for the cpu and 160CHF for the TF1260. I'd rather sell together but can split them.

I also got some "128MB" ram chips, but not sure I want to get into the SMT soldering (the SMT on these was done by a pcb house). I paid 25CHF for each set of 2, which I can include (for you to solder). edit 14/9/22: I am happy to upgrade boards with these for 30CHF extra, though I should note that the one I tried upgrading only runs at a maximum of 80MHz with the current firmware. Update 30/9/22: re-seated/tested again, does 94MHz, another board I upgraded does 100MHz.

Shipping will be from Switzerland (next day usually) or France (can ship on Saturday most weekends). Postage and packaging will be 30CHF (a single CPU to Europe is 20CHF). I bought some special anti-static shipping boxes to make sure they are well protected.

I prefer payment by bank transfer, TransferWise or twint, other payment methods are possible as long as I receive the full amount after fees.

Please specify which (see photo names):

(sold/shipped/received)
red2/128MB (sold/shipped), cpu runs at 100MHz, though TF1260 seems to only like 80MHz (ram?). Update 30/9/22: re-seated/tested again, does 94MHz.
red3 (sold/shipped)
red4 (assembled/tested. Though it has a deeper cpu socket, tower only, so 20CHF discount! Shipped now.)
standalone rev6 cpus (9): 9 sold (paid/shipped), 0 remaining
(rev6 cpus still available, I can remove them from the boards...)
other rev6 cpus (from boards): 5 shipped
remaining rev6 cpus (on boards): 3, all now reserved

68LC060 rev 4 CPUs (used): sold with boards + several spare

Update 24/9/22 - price drop + LCs:
I still have a lot of the TF1260 boards. Many people are buying the CPU alone, I guess most people who want the "ultimate 68060" want the 128MB ram too?
So I bought some 68LC060s rev 4s. These run at ~ 75MHz but have no FPU and are much cheaper.
Also a price drop for the TF1260 boards to 150CHF.

So in summary of what the options are now
  • TF1260 64MB (no cpu) is now 150CHF.
  • TF1260 64MB + full 68060 rev6 is 520CHF (Sold out/all reserved)
  • TF1260 128MB + full 68060 rev6 is 550CHF (Sold out/all reserved)
  • TF1260 64MB + 68LC060 rev4 is 210CHF.
  • TF1260 128MB + 68LC060 rev4 is 240CHF. (Out of ram to upgrade, but I could order some more)
  • Full 68060 rev6 alone 370CHF (Sold out/all reserved)
  • 68LC060 rev4 alone 60CHF
Update 5/10/22 - travel:
I'm traveling in the 2nd half of the month, so won't be able to ship from the 16-30th October.
So the last shipment from France is Saturday 8th October (Correction: Saturday 15th October) and the last from Switzerland on the 14th October.

Update 29/10/22 - back:
I'm back from the travel, so will have a look through the interest and send pms etc.

Update 5/11/22 - boards:
The last boards with rev 6s shipped out today. So definitely only rev 4 LC and TF1260 boards left. I just ordered some more chips for 128MB upgrades and will have them next week (now received).

Update 17/12/22 - boards:
Now just got 3 TF1260 boards left, all green.
I also have some 68LC060 rev4 CPUs remaining (more than I have boards).
No shipping from France until next year though, the queues there are crazy now with people sending Christmas boxes!

Update 15/1/23 - boards:
Just 2 TF1260 boards left, all green.
Also some 68LC040 rev4 CPUs remaining. I seem to have ended up with 7 spare, including 2 that have damaged pins that I'll offer a 20CHF discount on (they will be absolutely fine if you don't remove them from the board).
Happy to ship from France again, now the Christmas rush is all over.

Update 24/9/22 - price drop
Clearance, to get my study back! The options are now as follows:
  • TF1260 64MB (no cpu) is now 130CHF.
    • Remaining: 2 (reserved)
  • TF1260 64MB (no cpu), non-functional, 40CHF (i.e. a project!)
    • Remaining: 1 (reserved)
  • 68LC060 rev4 alone 50CHF
    • Remaining: 7
  • 68LC060 rev4 with a fragile pin. Completely bent then straightened, but now fragile (CPU price minus 20CHF)
    • Remaining: 2
Then discounts for multiples:
  • CPU price break: ==1 (50CHF each), >=2 (45CHF each) >=4 (40CHF each) >=9: (30CHF each)
    • The damaged pin discount still applies
  • TF1260 boards: 2 working: 230CHF, 2 working+1 non-functional: 260CHF

When you say you tested up to 94 MHz, that means without any heatsink or fan like on the pictures? Couldn't reach 100 MHz?
CPU are all soldered?

The CPUs are all socketed. I desoldered the original sockets from the telecoms equipment.

I ran without heatsink and fan, so did not leave it for long, just enough to run whichamiga and sysinfo. Clearly spacing is tight in an A1200 that is not towered.

So far they all worked at 94MHz. Some of them worked at 100MHz, though I wouldn't rely on that speed. This is typical for rev 6s.

Declaring interest.

HI,
any chance of selling just a CPU?

Interest withdrawn. (was previously declared here)

@vk3heg I know the seller has now agreed to it but asking for a split is against the forum rules please don't do it again

foft > "I will have more in the coming weeks (I have to solder the connectors, 68060 sockets, flash and test them)."

So asking foft if he would skip the extra work of building a TF1260 with a cpu and just supply cpu is against the rules.

Consider interest withdrawn then.

@vk3heg , Well that is your loss because I just asked you nicely not to do it again as per the rules which you agreed upon when joining this forum. I didnt stop your interest in the CPU

I've been sending updates only on pms and realized I should be posting here too so people can see how the interest queue is etc. So here is a quick status:
arek: Payment received, packed and shipped.
cyberstormer: black2 reserved, waiting for payment
Sallinen: cpu reserved, waiting for contact
Vallenrod: green1 reserved, details received, waiting for payment

There were also some off queue sales, though the queue will, of course, be respected.

Does this work on an Amiga 500?
Sadly No the TF1260's are designed for the Amiga 1200

There is an adapter you can buy called the ACA500 plus which lets you use A1200 accelerators with the A500 but I don't know if this one is compatible with it.
