You guys should check out Dead Girl as well
OMG! That's the one I was thinking about. I still get creeped out just thinking about that film. Totally bizarre and I feel dirty just having watched it.

Heather

Yeah I felt the same after watching it as well lol. Dead Girl and A Serbian Film are two films that will stay with you for the rest of your lives :)

VideoDrome with James Woods and Debie Harry (Blondie) was warped, but all David Lynch films are.

"True Romance" (Christian Slater) was so warped (in a good way) -it is one of my all time favorite must see movies

Wild at Heart by David Lynch has its moments (Nic Cage and Laura Dern I think)

Also my favourite daft film is Battle Royale, Japanese film about school kids sent to an island in a "last man standing" survival contest. Totally outrageous complete with exploding heads from neck collars.

One of Mr Slaters best movies I think as well. Mind you his current westerns are not to bad either.

I've seen loads but can't remember the names of any of them at the moment!

Someone else mentioned it above, but I also found Existenz a bit odd.

There was also a Spanish film that was very odd. It had some famous English actors in it but I forget the name of the film. Anyone know? It was about a group of friends going on holiday in the Spanish countryside, dring a land rover. They discovered a girl locked in a barn, and then slowly they get killed off one by one.

Oh and another Spanish film called The night of the sunflowers. We accidentally hired it out a few years ago thinking it was an English film so instead watched a Spanish film with subtitles. It's quite good but also very strangely directed.

Has anyone also seen Devil? About 4 people trapped in a lift.

There is also another film called Quarantine. People locked inside a quarantined apartment block, with a virus turning infected into zombie like creatures. It was actually a remake of the Spanish film REC. Filmed from the camera man point of view, the film contained now musical score, just some special effects.

I have seen Devil, I actually really liked it as it was quite different. Rec 3 did not make a whole lot of sense, but was pretty good for the gore.

mmmmm Naked Lunch!!

I enjoyed Dark City, the idea of being someone different every day!!
Videodrome heh, cathode ray mission.

I think the most bizzare film I have ever seen was called Visitor Q... oh so wtf!!

The live action version of 'The Guyver'?

I remember Picard and Janeway having a visitor Q :p

Aside from 'The Guyver' which btw I watched as a kid, lol. The most Wierd movie I have seen would have to be Hills Have Eyes. As you can tell I'm not much of an adventurous movie watcher... And with that I will take my leave of this thread... :(... *walks off sadly...

I've seen the original Spanish REC and thought it was quite good. I then watched the American version quarantine and didn't find it very good at all.

For me, whenever I think of "weird films," I think of a film I saw in a film class in college.
It was called Liquid Sky...
Man, that was bizarre.. Some people actually walked out during the film.

I didn't see the cultural significance that my teacher thought was there.. I just saw a weird (and bad IMHO) film. ;-)

The "Cube" movies were kind of cool

Also saw the divide a few weeks ago. Brought the worst up in people in that one, they did. Too bad the most interesting part was never investigated in the film (as you said).

I always thought jeepers creepers was pretty bizarre + scary but i scare fairly easily

I try not to watch too many horror films as they go into my dreams :o

I've seen lots of odd films late at night , especially in my 20s. I used to wake up about 2,3am and watch tv for an hour - some strange films on at that time..

Japanese horror / sci if
B/w horror
Videodrome , plan 9 , erasurehead, zardos, monster movies and other assorted junk.

Most of which I enjoyed , I do like odd films :-)

They definitely used to put some odd films on later at night on BBC2. They still do put some stanger ones on in the early hours on Sky movies.
