Well the rarest things I own are my Vectrex, the Philips MSX2 VG-8280 and I don't really know if this counts but not too many units sold worldwide maybe I should mention my two Amstrad GX4000. Regarding software... Well it has to be my two 2068 zx spectrum emulation cartridges which are hard to get I think...

The rarest thing...

The rarest thing...

Hmm...for hardware I used to think the rarest thing I had was this disk drive for the C65:

1565.gif

I thought it was the only one. However, I've since heard that there might be another floating around. That puts it in a tie with this poor guy:

big364mine.gif

I'm pretty sure there are only 2 of those also.

For software, how would one even tell?

They weren't rare at the time but seem quite uncommon now, I have an mint Apple //c

I used to have 2, but I just sold one.

I don't have much in the way of rare hardware. A gp2x and the Amstrad 464plus are about as rare as I have.

My UK dedicated Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters Cab. Never seen another. I don't think anyone else in VAPS has a UK model.

Not really rare but pretty hard to find now in my country. I own an CDTV and Amiga 3000D fully working in perfect condition almost like new. Also I have a working Amiga 1000 boxed and I guess that Amstrad cpc 664 is not easy to find too.

Jeez OoZic, is your home a museum?! Very impressive. I suppose my rarest is The Punisher for the Megadrive, well, it's the less rarer Genesis version but it does still have the sealed transfers that came with. I do have a legit megadrive game where the label was stuck upside down, maybe that's rare?

That happened a lot on floppy disks. I had loads of ST and Amiga originals with the labels applied upside down.. Very annoying when they were the labelled that had the game titles on the edge so you could read them in a disk box. Don't think I have any carts with labels upside down though.

@OoZic, that is an impressive collection. Looking at the images that is no living room or study you have there. Is it a specially built room? Garage or barn?

I have somewhat rare SX-64 and 64 GS (which I introduced to Petro Tyschtschenko last autumn) and Amiga 600 HD/40. Atleast the badge are quite rare, I have never seen another one... It has a very loud 40 Mb hard disk inside. :-D
