What exactly are you expecting from a Mac that the PC doesn't give you? It could be your hardware letting you down, not the platform.
I totally agree with that. Most people blame Windows for instability and crashing, but most of it is down to cheap components, badly matched components, or badly installed/managed software and OS.
With the greatest of respect to morcar (and this isnt aimed at you either buddy

), I often read threads on Amiga forums about people "sick of PCs/ Windows" and how their PCs are always crashing and slow etc etc (oh god the world is going to end and Macs are here to save us type stuff :roll

. And then these very same people are full of know how with all things PC/Windows?!

If they are so clever, then why are their PCs "slow and always crashing"??
My PCs never crash and are never slow. They are not chocked with crapware nor does the anti virus client slow them down (Macs get virus yknow?).
Ive used Macs at home and at work (currently we have a 20 something inch monster that looks very slick for iPad deployment) over the years from OS 7 and up, and they have never impressed me at all. Its
not pants, just not my cup of tea nor is it the saviour for everyone, as some think.
Bottom line is, a PC is easily tamed and both Toki and Harrison both got it spot on about cheap components and shoddy software. Stick to reputable brand names for hardware and only install what software you need.
3rd party software makers have a habit of running "helpful" services and programs on start up, and guess what happens then, slllloooooowdown

So go into the programs prefs and switch it off, and hello perky PC
