This whole “what is the name of that game” issue seems to bugger a lot of fellow members, and I am also in search for help in this issue, and I also think it is fun to try figuring it out. Fortunately, and thanks to mame, I found the names for a lot of them (bright example that game where you used your butt to throw your fellow students of their desk, and take their place)!!!!

But a couple of games remain unknown for me for a couple of decades now, and I need your help.

1) In this game, you control a little guy inside a gold mine, who tries to gather bags of gold while avoiding other human enemies. You use shovels, and can travel around platforms with some trucks used in mines for transport of goods!! The game looks like a donkey kong platform. I have a clear view of this, so if you find any video I will remember it definitely.

2) This one is a toughy, because I can only remember that you were a sheriff (I think) in the west, and you fought one-on-one gunfights with outlaws in the desert. The game was really primitive, and I think that it had black and white graphics!!!I remember cactus in the scenery also :)

3) Ok, this is really hard to figure out. I remember one guy in space (like an astronaut type) fight his way to survival against hordes of aliens. I think that it could be played in two player mode also.i cannot seem to remember if it was 2D or 3D. Funny thing is that I partially remember the name as “Hein Slina” or “Hines Lina”. When I search, I keep getting mayo products $%&@$^*!!

Any ideas?

given this sounds like the bagman arcade it could be one of two:

or

bagitman

based on the same arcade game:

not that it fits perfectly to your description, but law of the west is such a game:

The above games I cannot identify, but I do need help identifying a game of my own.
The one I've been looking for is for DOS (perhaps other platforms as well), around mid-to-late eighties with CGA graphics and PC-speaker sounds (at least, that was what setup we had at home.)
It was an edutainment title where a little fella wandered around in a castle solving different puzzles, of which I cannot remember any of now. All I do know is that "In the Hall of the Mountain King" by Grieg was primitively playing in the background.
Anyone got a clue?

EDIT: Never mind, just found mine! It was called "Super Solvers Midnight Rescue". Case closed, I guess. :P

from what i recall, it was like the arcade machines for arkanoid or that top down soccer game. You were looking downwards, not facing front, and opposite to the opponent (if you were playing two player mode).

Yep cracking game in its day though remebr the dum dum de dum whe you died and the wee cross/gravestone when you died, had the paddle style knob controller to move your aimi think

Damn, those games were extremely difficult, and hungry for coins!!

No quicksaves, no unlimited continues (that is, without a coin with a string attached;)), no energy to refill!!One touch and you are out for good!!
