Actually, I think this is wrong. iCORE64 should change his cases. He can add a "button" that sits on top of the original, and sticks out of the case. You press down on the '3d printed' button and it connects with the board button.

I think your opinion is wrong. If u saw the Icore64's case u understand why we need the longer buttons. He make deep hole for the buttons but buttons is so so so small. There isnt possible more to do anything on the case. If u dont want to buy case no problem, u couldnt change the buttons, but I didnt understand why the longer buttons not fit in the original board?

Situation as it stands, you have a car from VW, you bought new tires from DEBICA, tires do not tailor to the car body.

Option 1:
You are asking VW to change car body,

Option 2:
You are asking DEBICA to change your tires.

I am going to change buttons for SMT version => new size of pcb, more space for elements. TFT goes more up from c64 point of view.

The case is 3d printed. So It has to be rather simple. I fear, no moving parts, etc..

This a hole bigger than the button. And a big button with a lip. They are separate items.
