FREEWAY USB CLOCKPORT FAQ:​

Q: is there anywhere a list of devices that may work with this card?
A: Freeway USB uses official Trident Poseidon as USB stack, this means that theorethically all devices supported by it may work:

Q: is there any manual for Clockport Freeway available?
A: it isn't done yet, please take a look in Subway manual instead (these two cards are pretty same)

Q: Does Freeway USB run on stock 68K?
A: It's Poseidon USB that Freeway uses, and it is quite ressource hungry, it needs 020 as minimum, rather 030 CPU to operate comfortable

Q: can i use long Clockport cables with this card?
A: no, we do not recommend to use long CP cables, please keep them as short as possible. (cable that is shipped with card is about 9cm long)

Q: on wich addresses freeway driver works?
A: Freeway driver is looking at: $d80001, $d84001, $d88001 and %d90001

Q: how much current can Freeway USB provide?
A: Freeway Clockport is USB 1.1 standard, and it is limited to 500mA

Q: I have connected flat ribbon cable wrong way around, now the LED doesn't light up, is my Freeway broken now?
A: if flat cable was twisted and connected wrong way around (LED doesn't light up) - Your Freeway card may be damaged (cpld and USB power chip are dead). We can repair Your card, but sending it back and forth isn't cheap, also CPLDs are quite expensive. Contact me, will try to help You asap.

Important! Please read!!!
Unfortunately, Commodore hasn't built in any polarity protection for the clockports,
it would also be very hard to do that, after all, you can twist the cable completely, attach one pin shifted to the right or left,
or the whole row up or down, that's why we say: Better check twice before turning computer on,
rather than watching magic smoke goes up...
so how can i determine correct cable position if im unsure?

don't have all revisions here, sorry,
i assume these are all same,
just keep in mind that some boards have installed pins on the left side of the clocport, You need them on the right side jus like on the picture
