Hi all!

I have looked for an Amiga here in the midwest but couldnt find one close to me so I got a Vampire SA. Now I tried to etch the coffin r61 to a microsd card but balena etcher said the file I got is missing its partition table. R56 or so worked fine but I want to use the newest version :)

anyone can help?

thanks in advance!

Miru

if you are on a Windows PC then try Win32 Disk Imager, that's always worked for me. Make sure also the MicroSD you are using is at least 32gb in size.

didnt work, vampire says cannot mount filesystem, so it must be a corrupt torrent or fake coffin r61. anyone has a working one?

You uncompressed the 7zip file correct?
You cannot boot from a SD card on V4SA, you need to write to a CF card.

It does not matter if CF, SD or microSD. Provided it is connected to the internal IDE correctly then you can boot the device from it.

The microSD slot on the rear of the V4SA however is strictly for a kickstart ROM file and the V4SA won't boot from it directly.

Yes I did. I have another microsd card which when looking at it has the kick.rom file on it, you are right. And that one boots from the microsd slot. Weird. Maybe I will format it to fat 32 copy the kick.rom over and try with etching?

Hi all,
I got the same issue with my A500 with an Apollo Firebird card.

When burning the image to a 32gb CF card on Windows, I get no errors after selecting the .img. On Mac Balena Etcher indeed says that the partition table is missing and the image might not be bootable.

Doesn't matter Win or Mac, when popping in the CF card into the Vampire, I get a Coffin logo and straight after that it shows the kickstart screen.

@Miru , did you get it work in the end?

No, didnt have time to tinker. But mine needs the sd card to boot the kick file
