I just wonder have everyone managed to get their orders from Vesalia lately? I know this is an old and famous Amiga company and I have always got what ordered before. My last shippment took about one and a half months to arrive and now only the confirmation of payment seems to take for ever. Shoud I really learn to use Paypal instead of bank wire even for famous Amiga store dealers?

Yes.

My bank can take 7 to 10 days to do a transfer; PayPal does it instantly if based on a bank account.

I read either here on EAB they were closed for Holidays till some date in April, could be passed that date now but a search here and at EAB should find you the post

They're web site said last week they where closed till the 8th of may, and that notice has cleared now, but they may be dealing with backlogs ?

8th April, I think
They were closed the whole of last week for Easter break.

The Germans have a whole slew of official (Catholic) holidays that can catch you off guard, especially those of us from the states that have a bunch of random Federal/ Bank holidays (our religion)..

Thanks for info. I think they don't try to fool anyone. I just hope they would hurry because it was a group order with goodies to my Amiga friends also so now everyone is asking what's going on. I heard they're very lazy to answer e-mails. I send them three mails without an answer. Those holidays shouldn't bother business that much :blased:

Order status updated to dispatch. Vesalia works OK, it just needs some time and demanding e-mails :)

They were closed for holidays until the 8th. I placed an order on the 7th and was asked to pay yesterday via PayPal. My payment was processed immediately and today I got an automated notification that the goods have been shipped. Pretty fast if you ask me.

Last time i bought some Chameleon64 there and wanted to pay with PayPal, i thought it should be the fastest way as i wanted the Chameleon64 quite fast :) Anyway. I didnt received some PayPal Link for a week, wrote some mail and waited again. After nearly two weeks i had a very friendly call with them. Some of their workers were ill at the same time and the workload was much too high for one guy. So, if you want to contact them, call first and then write some mail ;)

Got my notification of incoming package today. It took excactly a month to arrive. It was a group order so I was a little impatient.

I think Amibay is a good forum to share opinions of Amiga resellers. I mean I sell and buy stuff from Ebay type of stores and there are always good or bad feedback that you can check about the guy who's selling his stuff. Internet is full of webstores that you can judge and make your decision to buy or not to buy only by using forums like this
