For sale is a vintage IBM PS/2 Model 53 (9553-0B7) with 8MB memory and SSD (sort-of). This is one of the premium PS/2 systems and still includes the 120MB hard drive which works fine and is currently disconnected. I've installed an IDE to CF card adapter which gives the system 2GB of fast solid state storage and gives it capacity and performance undreamed of when it was created. Hopefully the photos convey the overall good condition of the system. Asking $250 or a reasonably close offer.

From the IBM announcement: These low-cost PS/2 premium systems provide the processor and graphics performance required by many users. The 486SLC2 50/25MHz processor provides performance equal to the 486SX 33MHz. The Micro Channel architecture offers a fast, efficient and reliable data flow with a large selection of optional adapters. The PS/2 53 and 53LS 486SLC2 with their optional features and compatible operating systems and applications provide a solution for a wide range of applications. Along with other systems of the PS/2 family, they can provide a total stand-alone or network system solution.

This system is packed and ready to go in a 24x18x18 inch box that weighs 24 pounds. Buyer pays actual shipping costs anywhere within the CONUS. (UPS seems the least expensive option) Payment is through PayPal and this system is also listed elsewhere. Please PM me if you're interested. Thanks for looking at this item.

I just reduced the asking price to $199 or a reasonably close offer.
