Volume Install 3.1 is write protected

Hi All
I purchased the Amiga kit a long time ago and thought i would give it a go but having problems. Can't get it to work.

All I keep getting is

is write protected

Well Un-Protect the Disk / Image

Yes, if you want to add a new drive type you have to un-protect the disk in order to have the new device saved.
I suggest you make a backup copy and then use it unprotected.

Are you referring to a switch on the cf card, It doesn't have one.

The install diskette needs to be write-able. Or in the HDToolBox window you can put RAM:drive_definitions instead of drive_definitions in the upper window where you write.

This way the definitions will not be written into the diskette and you'll not see the message.

Just drag hdtoolbox into the ram disk, then run it
