@fitzsteve:

I had this problem with a demo I was running which had RTG support.
It looked for very specific screen modes & if it didnt find them (not defined in Prefs), it used a 320x240 window on the upper left corner of the screen.
Adding the screen mode it required (320x240 60Hz 8bit) fixed this problem :)

Thats not the problem here, he needs to add the width/height to the icon tool types or run from shell with them, this is from readme:

Resolution
==========

The default resolution for ADoomPPC is 320x200 and is the fastest
resolution to run in. If you have more CPU power than you know
what to do with, you can run ADoomPPC in higher resolutions by
using the -width & -height options. E.G.,

ADoomPPC -width 640 -height 480

runs ADoomPPC in 640x480 resolution; select a 640x480 display
mode when the ASL screenmode requester appears.

The resolution must be a multiple of 64 for AGA graphics, and
32 for graphics cards.

Pressing F5 toggles between high detail and low detail in any
resolution.

The maximum resolution is 1600x1280. Don't bother unless you
have a 275MHz G3 PPC.

i.e you have to do that *and* choose the screen mode requester, or you get a 320x200 screen within 640x480 that you chose from the requester...

@Phipscube:

From what I understand, PPCLibEmu emulates the PowerUP ppc.library, so that software written specifically for it will run under WarpOS.

I've been trying to run ADoomPPC with 640x480 and the only wait it will work is if you run from shell:

ADoomWOS -Height 480 -Width 640 (And also pick the screen requester)

For some reason its not taking the info from the tool types, although it takes things like -forcedemo, very strange.

The non PPC Version of ADoom works as suggested in the readme.

Anyway, even on 330mhz PPC its not playable, I just tried - major slowdown!

ADoom "standard" runs fine on my A4K's, very good performance and fully playable.

@UberFreak

@merlinkv:

Not really sure you need ppc-user-09042000.lha.
It looks like an installer/loader for the original ppc.library.
You need the one from PPCLibEmu if you want it to co-exist with WarpOS.

The "ppc-user-0904200" is the last ppc library available. But, if I understand well, Is not needed with WarpOS 5.1 installed, right?

Thanks for the info. I will try this evening/night.

All the best

Then there is no need for me to even try this :)
My por CSPPC would jump out the window i gues. But i would like to thank all of you again for the help.

Hi

Well, using PPCLibEmu & WarpOS 5.1..... games works :thumbsup:

Now is time to play......... :D

Sorry to revive this thread, but this was one of the few threads that seems helpfull. About to start setting up my a4000 ppc system. If I want a classicwb system, where does that fit in in the steps listed? And doesn't that come with blitzkick, so how to go about with that? Thx!
