I'm nearing the end of Shining Force on the Mega Drive/Genesis, I got in the mood for RPGs after recently completing Earthbound on the SNES. Awesome game, I must have spent 40+ hours playing it so far! I do have 2 gripes with the game though:

1) "Character X Quickly evades!" It happens every other time you try and hit an enemy, sometimes more often in later levels, and only happens about twice in the entire game when the enemy is attacking you. Completely unfair, I've actually found myself using save states occasionally because it's so infuriating.

2) Excessively heavy enemy hit points, most enemies can kill any of your players in a single hit, where as you only have one or two players who can do this even later in the game.

Still, thoroughly enjoying it though!

Just finished Southpark 'The Stick of Truth' on PS3. Best game I've played for a long time and a real treat if you're a Southpark fan. Best TV Show franchise to Video Game conversion I can think of!

Having a bit of an 8bit day today:

Fancied playing with my C64, got my 1541-II out only for the second time since I bought it. Old school Disks take me back!

And on the Speccy 128k two recent games; Castlevania and Axel K

Running from my DivIDE.

Picked up GTA 5 on Steam, overall I am very impressed with the graphic improvements on the PC, I've even managed to make it to Trevor. Some thing I couldn't do on the PS3 or PS4 versions. More motivated this time around I guess. Haven't had much experience with the online yet. Mostly an offline player, though I wouldn't turn down an invite to try.

We have an amibay crew, join us. There is a thread about it too :)

Recently played through 'the last of us', fantastic game, I'm going through again on +

Also bought gta v for PC, that's three times I bought it now lol. Rockstar have done well from me .. PC version is fantastic too, nice to play it at 60fps

yep, really enjoy playing it to death, lol

i like the difficulty curve on harder levels ai is nice, and the survival aspect is good.you dont really get into the upgrading of weapons etc till youve been through it a few times.

one the best games ive bought in a long time.

really controversial ending for some reason,i wont give it away, but it made sense to me if you follow the plot..

I have played Project Cars for about 10hrs at this point. At first I was playing with a clone xbox360 controller, found that to be usable but not quite what I had thought it would be. Borrowed my cousins Logitech G25 racing wheel and pedals (his shifter doesnt work) and boy was it different. I have not played to many racing sims on the pc however the difference between joypad and race wheel are quite amazing. It took me a few hours to just get the hang of the race wheel. Now I cant imagine playing without one. Got my G27 ordered and looking forward to its arrival.

Once you get used to a wheel it's really hard to go back to pad for race sims.

I'm also playing project Cars, I really like it but it still needs some work to the AI and triple screen isn't fully implemented yet.

Also playing Dirt Rally, it's pretty good and the first rally game I've played with a wheel. Loving the Monaco stages.

Also playing through South Park - The Stick of Truth for the second time, I love this one - It's just like playing an episode :D

Finally also playing through Watchdogs again as it's been long enough since the first play through, a game I really enjoyed the first time round.

Haven't touched a retro game in a while, shame on me.

I'm about half way through Beneath a Steel Sky on my A4000. I'm playing the ECS version rather than CD32 as the latter version uses 'save codes' which are quite annoying, and it only adds speech anyway rather than AGA graphics. Very impressed so far, the use of the limited ECS palette is simply amazing, they have squeezed every last colour out of it. It's a shame there isn't more music as you're mostly playing in silence, but it doesn't detract too much. Can highly recommend it if you like Monkey Island etc.

I agree it's more fun, used to love playing Mario Kart Wii with the wheel, but unfortunately if you want to be competitive pads are a must. You will never beat a really good pad player with a wheel, it just doesn't have the accuracy.

I don't think we can compare Mario Kart Wii with that plastic wheel and a proper PC racing wheel setup, it's reversed wheel users should cream pad users in proper racing sims!

Great ... all you guys always only talk about your own things. New members aren't welcome here, 'cause you are only interested in yourself. Sad & boring ... thanks for nothing.
