Great idea for a post
I think I am pretty much the same as everyone else - when I was around 13 +/- a couple of years, I could barely afford to get the stock Amiga, let alone all the cool accelerators etc. that were available at the time. I guess now at the age of 31, although this stuff can still be relatively expensive, I am indulging in what I couldn't afford as a kid
I also love the creativine ingenuity of the Amiga community, and just how far these simple(by modern standards) computers have been taken e.g. Wipeout on an Amiga?!?
I am just hoping to have a really good play and indulge, - and for me it has to be on the real hardware, just because it feels more authenticate. Certainly in the short term I want to buy a copy of Beneath a Steel Sky - I always wanted this, but was put off back in the day with the 15 disks worth of disk swapping..! No problem with a harddisk though he he
Adrian
PS - also the Amiga stuff has so much more character than the faceless PC world I moved into after my Amiga on the allure of 3d games...
PPS - like others have said it is also a novel way of using my disposable income lol
