Amstrad CPC - Dont know if I am missing out:unsure:
ZX Specturm QL - It was more powerful than any other 8bit:wooha:
PC Engine LT - Amazing but very expensive:wooha:
Sharpe X68000 - Excellent Game machine with Arcade perfect games!

You?

too long a list, there are many, many retro machine i have never had.

much quicker to list what you have had:thumbsup:

you are missing out on the amstrad cpc,my wife bought a cpc464 and i was really impressed.(i would of like to get a 128 with disk drive one day for myself)

i would like to get a bbc b or master one day, lovely machines had a few in the school i went to really nice with a cub monitor, lovely:D

there are a few others i would like just for fun,but that one is at the top.

Never wanted for much.

Having said that if money and space were no object, I'd buy one of everything - just cus I like to collect!

Felt I missed out on the C64 (had a Speccy 48 at the time as I had to buy my own computer and this was cheaper - loved it though..!). I wouldn't get one now though as it doesn't hold any memories for me (obviously), so I use Cloanto's emulator package instead.

All I really wanted was a big-box Amiga. A2000 when I owned an A500 and an A4000 when I owned a CD-32 + SX-1 combo.

I have one now though and am loving it, so I feel 'complete'! :D

VitrualBoy
Neo Geo - I got my 1st NGCD yesterday though
Atari Jaguar
3DO
Apple Pippin
Atari Lynx
Neo Geo Pocket Colour - Still want one of these.

I always wanted an A500 when I was about 10-12 but my folks just couldn't afford one. I own one now but I've found that any computers/consoles that I didn't own as a kid I just don't have any emotional attachment to. My original C64 (bought by my dad xmas 1986) and MegaDrive (bought from class mate 1992) I love to bits, still use and could never sell. Whereas, I bought a DreamCast about a year ago and barely ever use it and have no special connection to it. Shame...

lets see...never had...

i think i'll shave this down to never had AND always wanted...

Timex Sinclair 1000
Atari 400/800 (not XL)
Commodore SX64
Commodore PET
TRS-80

Atari 5200
Bally Astrocade
Emerson Arcadia 2001
Fairchild Channel F
Milton Bradley MicroVision
Atari Lynx

Systems I've had (but sold and would like to re-acquire)

Apple IIc
Atari 1040STfm

Intellivision II
NEC TurboDuo
Atari Jaguar
SegaCDX (aka Multi-Mega)

an XT (8086/8088 )
a 286
a 386

Since a "never had ever" list would be massive, I'm also going to cut it to "never had but wanted" lists:

Computers
Amiga 4000D
Amiga 4000T
Acorn RiscPC
Apple Mac (early/mid 90s PPC era)
Amstrad CPC
Atari ST

Consoles
Sega Saturn
Amiga CD32
MB Vectrex

Quite small lists I know but I've done a fair amount of collecting within the past 10 years!
I also get nostalgic pangs for an A500+ but now I have my A1200 it would probably end up being an ornamental piece!

I got

2 ZX 81
ZX Rubber 48K Speccy :)

I havnt used it much as I would like but I am keeping them :)

As others have said, there are loads of systems everyone has never owned. I normally get most of the mainstream consoles and handhelds from each generation, but missed a lot more in the earlier gaming generations, mostly due to being really young and not having the disposable income to do so.

Personally a few I've always been interested in, but never owned, and not really used or played games on much, include:

  • ColecoVision
  • Intellivision
  • NES (I've owned every Nintendo console from the SNES onwards, but never a NES)
  • Commodore 64 (I know, shocker)
  • PC Engine/TurboGrafx
  • Sharpe X68000
  • MSX and MSX2
  • Neo Geo
  • Atari Falcon
  • Sega Saturn
  • 3DO
BTW, definitely get hold of an Amstrad CPC. The CPC464 was my first home computer, with the colour monitor, and it was a brilliant computer.

After the disappointing purchase of 32x, I wanted to get a saturn for next christmas but dad decided there shall be no more consoles and we should get a pc instead. That proved to be a great decision as the pc was a very nice and solid machine.

Still, I missed two of the following console cycles before reaching adulthood so my next console after the 32x was in fact a modded Xbox.

I never had a C64, Atari ST or NES back in the day, but I did know friends with them so played on them all. I've had pretty much every other late 80s/90s computer/console at some point. I was too young for the earliest late 70s/early 80s home computers like the Atari 2600 so I don't really feel like I missed out on those.

I've never had and would sometime like to get:
Memotech MTX 512
BBC
Commodore 16.
Apple IIGS

If you've never had one, get a Jaguar. There's a couple of good games which totally define the console (Tempest 2000, Alien Vs Predator) and a couple of good ports like Cannon Fodder and Syndicate. Everyone needs to witness the f*ckup that is the Jaguar Joypad.

sadly...its the controller that generally defines the Jaguar...

(often ranked #1 on worst controller lists)

Just an Amiga A3000 for me please. Oh and maybe a mega-uber 3D graphics rendering computer :)

I've never had a neo geo (too expensive) or a pc engine (gonna buy one soon as i bought an ED in the group buy). There is nothing else that i've seen from the past that I want that I don't already have, save for an A4000 but I can't bring myself to pay for one since i've a powerful A1200.

Don't think there are any I've never owned that I would actually like to have. NeoGeo is one that I have completely overlooked but beyond that nothing really comes to mind. Every console I've ever wanted I have owned at some point for at least a short time, largely because they were all mainstream ones
