First would be an IBM XT clone my parents bought for us in...1989? It was a beast of a thing with an amber monitor, hercules graphics and a massive 10Mb hard disk drive.

First machine I owned was a Binatone tv master 6 with a light gun..... Unfortunately we lived in a block of flats with a shared aerial so there was no RF socket on the tv .... I had to wait two years until we moved to play it !!!!

My first real computer was a ZX Spectrum 48k after convincing my parents that "it'll help with my schoolwork" with it I got a 14" black and white tv and a tape deck with no mic port !
I bloody loved that machine and don't think I left my bedroom for about two years ! Lol
i remember it was bundled with a pack of games by Psion including "Make a Chip" unfortunately my young mind failed to grasp logic circuits must it didn't stop me loading the tape periodically to try :)
I remember fitting a push button to the rear of it as a reset button (speccy DC ports were notorious for breaking) but eventually the aluminium started to lift on the corners and no matter what you tried nothing would stick it down I retired my old rubber key and got a speccy plus.....

My fondest memories are Saturday's in the Victoria Centre in Nottingham in WHSmiths and Dixons computer section playing on the computers with my mates, happy times :)

Now I have started collecting all of the machines I had (or wished I had) as a kid and boy the memories are sweet.

C64, with a monochrome amber monitor, Radar Rat Race cartridge game, and a tape drive with Jumpman. Given to my brothers and I as a Christmas gift by my rich uncle back in 1982 :)
