My experience with this shop is very limited.

I've got two orders with them, both fulfilled with no issues as such. And both orders were placed in 2024.

If I have anything to say, it's that one of my orders from Alinea took some time to leave them.

  • Order one was placed the 25th of February, left them the 28th and was in my hands the 5th of march
  • Order two was placed the 5th of April, left them the 16th of April and was in my hands the 24th of April
I'm really impressed with their catalogue of products and will not hesitate to order from them again.

I really do encourage all kinds of feedback in this thread, I want it to be a collection of honest experiences - good, bad, neutral, meh and exceptional.

And do remember that experiences are subjective. Even if you're unhappy with a shop, someone else are entitled to their opinion that it's the retro kingdoms saviors.

Hey long time no speak my friend, refreshing to see a positive review, we all too often only communicate our bad experiences.

I haven't used them myself, I have to be careful about using shops outside the UK now. But will keep them in mind for sure.

They are fine, i bought good stuff from them before and they have always been reliable and friendly. Once they forgot an item, and they shipped it as soon as i asked for it.
I ordered stuff again about one month ago with no problem.
They make the Omniports which are game changers for the A1200. Before that, i had a bunch of VGA and USB cables hanging out from my rear expansion bay, now i have clean looking computers without any danger of damaging something when pulling the cables.

Thank you, really nice to be back. Although, poor product documentation and poor research by myself killed off a A314cp I had bought. Costly mistake, and made me for a moment want to tip the pram and leave it all behind and go all WinUAE 😂

Indeed, they do have some exclusive gems like this which is a pull for sure to go shopping with them. Bought one myself to go with my pistorm32 lite in my A1200.

Hey Arnieee, where have you been?

Not the slightest problem with Alinea Computer. Ordered in the past many times, and I have to say that Simon is there for any help. One of the finest Amiga shops nowadays.

I've been around 😂 Life and everything. You? I guess it's best to meet up your place over a beer to catch up?

Alinea is my favorite Amiga Shop.
They are always kind when you ask information about a product. Also their packaging is very good and the shipping is punctual. :)

Nice to see people take the time to report positives not just the negatives all the time 👍

I’ve got a new EV coming in June/July lots of praise and reviews all give it thumbs up, everyone on youtube or websites day it’s brilliant. I joined a facebook group for a sniff around and it’s mostly complaints that i don’t think give a realistic perspective on it.

I have ordered from them and the experience was positive. NOS software from what I recall. Went through without a hitch and I would order from them again anytime.

I ordered Quake 2 OS3 & 4 yesterday as well as a couple other things. I need to download my software tonight as it was “approved”

Only positive experiences with them. They have the full-featured Rev E Gayle adapter that adds an RTC clockport when using a FreeWay or Subway USB device, no need for a full expander.

On January 2nd, I placed an order for quite a few items with Alinea. I received order updates via email every step of the way, including right up to the moment of dispatch. Shipment tracking (via DHL) came as standard, with curteous and knowledgable staff answering any questions that I asked.

IMHO their customer service is fantastic and long may it continue!

The likes of AmigaKit amd RetroPassion could learn a lot from them ... now Alinea have fast become my go-to place for my Amiga shopping.

I have also had only positive experiences with Alinea. (y)

Shopped a msata adapter and other A1200 ide related gizmoz from them these two last weeks. Items were indicated as in stock and was received really soon after I placed the order.

Ah..., German efficiency?
Well except for DHL German postal carrier. Maybe worse than USPS, but I will give them better than Frances post office. 👮‍♂️

Alinea is good, and with their test shipment to me successfully completed I hope they will resume shipping to the USA.
