I meant that is not a valid reason to remove you post, I'm serious about this whole situation as well, money was sent, then deliver the goods, if not refund it, it's as simple as that.
Sounds to me with these keyboards he is trying to raise money to pay back all those waiting on a case.
And I don't understand why the founding people of A1200.net are not responding to this, if there is high demand for these cases, why not make more ?
Oh, I see. I thought you were refering to me because afaik the universe revolves around my nice round beer belly.

But seriously, yes I find it really poor of amiga.org to shoot down a thread raising legitimate concerns with RetroPassion who AmigaKit has a business relationship with, while they don't mind those kinds of threads when it's about an Amiga business they're not that in to (re Amedia Computer thread).

I saw @Boing-ball first thread and FOLLET reply, and also the next reply from Boing-Ball to FOLLET. Both kept their language clean, Boing-Ball stated facts as he knows them and raised concern and warned people about RP reputation, linking here and to eab. Follet said something "not nice to derail someones thread". And that's the last we saw of those threads.

Fighting board mods is always a loosing battle. Ban hammers and all. But I only treat amiga.org now as an archive since it was turned into AmigaKits "Shopping Channel"

To be fair. Amigakit and RPUK are separate entities.

Unfortunately Amiga.org still house a lot of RPUK fan club members.
Have spoken to the Admin over on Amiga.org. It appears said Fanclub and Steve Clifford himself has complained. So the threads were taken off.
But have taken note who has liked the sales thread. Let’s just say they don’t stay in the shadows for long….
Obviously have plenty of money to give to RPUK for the pleasure of staying in his inner circle. Oh well….
Just a shame they don’t give that monies to something worthy instead.

💯

I was just thinking the reason why they complained is this, quote from RP:
And I have great pleasure in offering the brand new A1200.net Mechanical Keyboard for pre-order for the Amiga A1200.

And being the EU distributor for A1200,net, these are also available wholesale to other Amiga/Retro stores (min order of 20 units). Wholesale orders will be shipped from a warehouse in the Netherlands so no issues with customs or import duty.

Since afaik A1200.net = AmigaKit and AmigaKit = Amiga.org, then they are not impartial or unbiased when determening which amiga shop can be critizised on their forum. But tbf, it's their forum, and their content... So they can moderate it as they like.

I don’t believe A1200.net are connected to Amigakit.

All I do know is that A1200.net =

And there are still a few devout followers 🫨🙄

Ah, I probably have them mixed up because AmigaKit registered the A1200 as a trademark, undercutting A1200.net. Then I'm sorry.

I don't know the guy above. I'm not that into all of the inner workings of the amiga-sphere as you clearly can see 😁😂

ohhh, so the correct equation would have been RP = A1200.net, that's how RP have managed to be EU distro.

I was thinking of that, AmigaKit with it's .eu, .com, .net, .co.uk and what ever - why did they give it to RP. Now it makes sense.

So far one email back on how to refund, you know how it's been paid for, so I would assume it's a clear cut case on how to return the money, but still nothing
I received a reply from Steve last Thursday indicating due to a stock issue he could not deliver the purple case, and since it was over a year he could not refund to my credit card. He asked for my paypal to refund the order. Replied same day with my paypal and still waiting for my money to come back to me. Maybe 1 year from now it will show up?

The mess up part of this entire affair is that you, me and several others that I know of ordered this dam case 8, 9 , 10 months ago, This moron Steve instead of filling those orders put them up on ebay in the states and else where. If it sounds like I am pissed about it I am, it is no way to do a business. In fact why is it if some of these companies are selling Amiga products they are total crap the way they treat us...

It is unethical and a real scumbag move IMO. Speaks to the character.

What I don't understand is if RTRP is the same as A1200.net, why did I receive several cases from A1200.net fine?

Yeah, googling and searching I find that the product was developed by a Philippe Lang, and there's an interview with him on YT by Amiga Bill.

RP is in Company House (UK business registers) all Steve Clifford.

So RP 🙅‍♂️≠ A1200.net

One thing to point out here.
Seems like a big fan club over on Amiga.org for this seller. Some people I see over there support him, even though the evidence about what this seller gets up to is plain to see. Yet quick to complain when these things come to light and want them removed.
Interesting these same members over there are members on here. Not reading any rebuttable comments on this thread.
Very interesting. Very interesting indeed!

Can we just clear up the silly notion that the people behind A1200.net and retropassion.com are the same ...

They are not - retropassion.com are mearly the chosen European distributor of A1200.net products.

IMHO a better choice would have been Alinea ... But wishful thinking on my part I'm afraid.

Unfortunately Steve Clifford makes out that he is connected…..

Maybe A1200.net need to make it completely clear and transparent that this seller is bringing down their product…
Ideally look for a better reputable distribution in the U.K.

Yes, I'm afraid I'm partially to blame for this. I had them and AmigaKit mixed up.

💯RP points this out on his amiga.org post, but it's not reiterated anywhere else as I can find. On A1200.net page under partners, you'll also find Alinea

Again, 💯

I placed a complaint with A1200.net several weeks ago but never heard back from them...
