Well i have some problem. I dont know how i did last time or if i had a picasso IV card but here is my problem.

I have a Amiga 4000 with a Picasso II card. I m using this card to my LCD-TV LG M228WA
http://www.lg.com/au/it-products/monitors/LG-M228WA-BT.jsp

Its working but i also want to play whdload games and then i have to switch to rgb to scart and its a bit annoying. I bought a rgb to vga convertet to be able to solve this problem but i dont know if i did it right. Right now rgb is plugged into rgb port on a4000 and with a vga cable up to my picasso 2 card. So, is it possible to use like 800*600 16bit pc resolution 16k colors and when i want to start a whdloadgame it switches to rgb?

It just goes out of frequences. In devs/monitors i have PAL, Picasso II and DBI PAL. If you look at the spec it should work, right?

Grateful for some good answers.

Regards

hello,

i used a similar set up but with an Amiga 2000 and a Arcade VGA convertor. Whd load will output games at 15khz (RGB) and most monitors will not support this. your picasso is using a VGA friendly resolution but WHDload will not display ESC/AGA games in this. The picasso 4 uses a flicker fixer to display amiga graphics on VGA monitors, the 2 does not.

The Amiga 4000 does not output the correct Khz signal for VGA monitors sadly.

the one i use is here - VGA flicker fixer - EBay

Item number: 250876369608

This will convert your RGB to VGA , which then is plugged in to the rear of the Picaaso 2 card - giving auto switching between 1024x768 and 15khz Amiga res RGB.

See my thread here for further info

Thanks for answering. So this VGA flicker fixer Item number: 250876369608 on EBay will work with my a4000? So thats the only way?

no there are other ways but they are all more expensive ..
