The thing that surprised me is how well it matches the unfaded colour: it's almost impossible to tell where I've sprayed inside other than the slight lack of sheen.

Good to hear it's worked for you too. I took a bit of a gamble on it really but it's lasting well. It was colour matched to the inside of my A1000 RAM cover.

Glad it's lasting for you. Seems really hard wearing.
I am tempted to send the A600 RAM cover to get that colour matched as the 600/1200/4000 is a very different colour

Is there some sort of colour code for this? I fancy painting a Gotek drive to match A500!!

looks great! so far Retrobrite has worked very well for me as my man cave is in my basment and the only light is LEDm so no rays to bring back the nasty stuff...but this is a great option for the really bad cases
