I can't believe how many some people have :wooha:

I only own 4 ATM:

2 x A1200 - One is my original from the 90s, the other one I bought for some spares I needed and is not strictly complete
1 X Main PC - Nice machine, sortof evolved over the years.
1 X Laptop - Old pentium m centrino, I was going to sell it at one point, but it comes in handy from time to time.

For the Apple stuff, I'd really have listed the options as "Macintosh 680x0" "Macintosh PowerPC" and "Macintosh Intel", seems a better fit to me. The current terms are a little confusing
Agreed, as I think I've put my PowerMac G4 Quicksilver, PowerMac G4 Dual and the two iBook G3s in the wrong category (I put them in 'Apple Macintosh')

Amiga's:
Simply put, all of them. Including the exotics UX/1500/Video Toaster/3500/Access/etc

Atari:
600XL
800XL
1200XL
65XE
130XE
800XE

Others:
Draco Cube
Core i7 PC
Core i7 Laptop

eh, that about sums it up... I think :)

Plus Z88 (three of them, one stock and boxed new, one stock boxed and one a hell of a monster with 1MB Flash memory).

the A500 is split though, A500 & A500+ if you combine those totals there are more of them than anything else.

These types of polls aren't accurate enough, some of us have quite a few more of each item than 1 :-)

Good for a rough view however

edit: I suspect you're not interested in quantity of actual machine more if an individual has access to one of each type of machine

of course if we want to get technical, the Apple II series consisted of

Apple II
Apple II+
Apple IIe (Enhanced and Platinum (built-in numeric keypad) editions as well)
Apple IIc
Apple IIgs
Apple IIc+

and there was an

Apple III / III+

as well as an

Apple I (available as a kit)

;)

i won't get into the Lisa :P

to be honest i would of liked an itemised list of each of the major machines.

i.e

A1000
A1000
A500
A500+
A2000
A2500
A3000
A3000T

Apple mac 68k
apple mac ppc
apple mac intel
imac ppc
imac intel
G3
G4
G5

and so on for each major company but the poll would of ended up 200 / 300 entries long...and of course USA and Europe / far east had machines that the UK never saw...so the list gets bigger.

more exact but huge no the less. maybe i'll add one on my webpage one day...

You would expect the PC then A500 / A1200 to be the highest here and then Apple / Commodore 64 i think

mike.

so Mike...

whats your plans for world domination now that you have all these computer metrics?

=)

to release new OS for the dominant machine and crush MS!!!!

mmmmmmwwwwaaaahhhhhhhhh

unless its a PC of course then i'll just eat my bacon sandwich.

Scary. You only realise how many computers you own, when you end up having checked almost half the boxes :D

I own a few that aren't included on the list: Sinclair PC-200 (an option for 8086 PC would have covered this too perhaps?). I also have a Tandy 102, which I suppose technically comes under TR-80, but it's not really the same. The Atari options are also a bit too general, you should really have put boxes for the 400, 800, 600XL, 800XL, 800/65XE and 130XE.

It also doesn't take into account how many of each machine someone owns, but I suppose that is more acurate for the survey.

Bryce.
