Hi there, I was wondering what the best tool to measure/benchmark HDD/disk performance on classic Amiga is. I run OS 3.9 BB2 on my A4000D/CPPC and today installed a Acard AEC-7730A + 64 SSD. Good stuff ... but I wanted to compare it to my on-board IDE-controller + CF solution. Now here are my problems:
1. SysInfo 3.24 and 4.00 crash when I run a drive speed on the SSSD (AEC-7730A).
2. SysSpeed 2.6 does want a CPU: drive ... and when I assign this to e.g. DH1: then it actually does not run any tests. I might just be too stupid to use the program. Help is appreciated!
3. DriveSpeed (that comes with FastATA drivers). This one actually works with the cybppc.device (my SSD via AEC-7730A) but does not work with the normal IDE device (via scsi.device) ... and for some reason also HDToolbox does currently hang when I access scsi.device (even though the cybppc.device works fine with HDToolbox).
So not sure what/if something is wrong with my current setup ... but it would help to learn which tools you guys typically use to measure drive speed.
Cheers, Oli

Okay, I could resolve the CPU: problem with SysSpeed. This was due to a "wrong drive name" in the preferences. Now that I got this fixed, I could do some drive speed tests. Good stuff. So is this what people use to compare their speed with others? Is there any "sticky" thread where people post their top-speed? Thanks. Oli
