Chance of data recovery from SSD media? Slim to none. Electrons escape cells, so does your data.

Does anyone backup their data before an update in 2025? Highly unlikely.

I've wondered when some malicious virus will just wipe SSD volumes. Never thought Microsoft would be the originator of it.

I manually update Windows, not let M$ do it ad-hoc. Much easier and safer that way.
