Windows scammers on the phone - again

Fake scammers claiming to be from Windows Technical support - it seems i have a virus which has been reported to Windows in india - lucky for me they called then - he even argued when i said i dont use Windows.

just avoid this number if you get it..

Sure it's India MJ? Looks like an American number. India is 0091 (+91).

i had one from them the other day, made me burst out laughing when i got the call. The guy couldnt even say my name right, even better was when he claimed he was called stephen though and pronounced it correctly :roll: in a very thick indian accent.

he said he was calling from windows and that they needed access to my computer. I did say i didnt use windows, but he didnt understand and asked me to turn my computer on. I then told him that i knew it was a scam, and im not thick. He just went erm.. and then hung up

do people fall for this? Quite worrying is that the scammers couldnt even understand what i was saying, so how good at scamming are these people?

not sure if its from India but the guy on the phone was from India at some point - a very pronounced accent.

Had one call me recently he said my computer was infected I said I dont have one I`m a Luddite,he then asked me what is a Luddite is?. Told him a person who hates new technology, then he says " Why have you a phone then" I replied "So I can tell you T@&$@ers what I think of ya!"
