I've recently got a Samsung S8 phone and want to start using wireless charging. Is anyone using one and what makes and models would you recommend?

Has anyone tried integrating them into furniture? I've seen even Ikea now sell a cheap charging pad that fits into their desks and tables, but they fit into the top so are visible. Has anyone tried hiding them under a table? That's the distance possible between the pad and phone? Could a pad be mounted under a wooden desktop? Or would it need to be routed out to reduce the distance?

My idea is to have one completely invisible under my office desk and another invisible under an oak bedside table.

I have been using the Ikea night lamp with build-in wireless charging for a few years now. Works on my Note 8, and my previous phones (S8+ and S7) without issues. I just drop my phone on it when I go to sleep and it is fully charged for the next day.

The only downside is that you need to place the phone at a certain spot (you'll hear and see a notification on your phone when it starts charging).

I don't think you can hide it under something because the charging distance would become a problem.
