Wireless controllers for CD32

So I'd like to find some form of wireless controller for my CD32 that has support for all the buttons. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but my thought was to pick up one of those cd32-> genesis adapters to allow for all the buttons and then pick up the 8bitdo Genesis wireless adapter and use my 8bitdo controller.

Has anyone tried this to see if it works?
