Difference between X-SID base and X-SID audio Boost?
Audio level is very similar to the original SID 6581
This means that it is no longer necessary to turn up the volume of the TV so much ... and the effect was also to raise the background noise (so during the loading with the datassette you could hear it)
So three advantages:
- increased audio level
- almost absent and contained background noise
- audio distortion not present as for the basic X-SID version

X-SID boost has an implementation that allows an increase of the audio level equal to the original SID while keeping the distortion under control as X-SID.
I remember that users who bought (also through other channels) have confirmed that compared to the original Swinsid the X-SID / boost version does not have that audio distortion that is also audible by ear with Swinsid
