Scary reading. I was thinking about buying a P5040 board from them but the price was much higher than the P5020 i bought from Amigakit 2 years ago. Amedia's behavior seems unacceptable IMO.

Please take a minute to read this first before purchasing.

Support after sale
More information
interesting, but to be fair, any Tech company is the same...
9 out of 10 Radeon VII are damaged, and cannot be repaired, all have magically expired warranty.
the HMB memory in the same die as the GPU fail and cannot be rapaired without replacing the whole gpu,

also i had a bad experiences with msi, asus, apple, samsung, sony, just to name a few.
All Overcharge to repair as much as possible in Authorized Repair centers,
some like Apple Overcharge near the same as purchasing a new device,
or repair 1 thing and damage another that is Not covered by the warranty of previous repair.

does Not let users repair,
does Not let users buy original replacement parts,
does Not let 3rd party technicians repair or buy parts, Nor Refurbish.
there are several court cases, just see LousRossman Group YouTube channel.

Foxconn manufactures 1151 sockets, and all are designed to fail,
socket pins are brittle, if you use them too much, to test cpus, they break.
a metal that breaks... Not bends, break, pure evil. LOL

instead older X58 boards sockets were designed to last, pins bent, you unbent with a magnifier glass and small tools, done.

i have plenty of stories.

there is only 1 or 2 X5000 owners complaning,
how many X5000 owners there are?

in perspective, Soyuz Rockets are the most successful, 1700 launches, near 0 failures.
Arian Not as successful. LOL

Sony PlayStation2 was the most succesful product ever, only 5% failure rate.
Bad companies, or Bad products have 50% failure Rate, Radeon VII has 90%. LOL
MacBookPro 2013 Early has very high failure rate, similar to Radeon VII.
etc...
