Hi Folks,

Does anyone have a PSU for an XBox 360 (original version) that they are willing to part with please?

Has to be a 175w Falcon / Opus PSU (image showing the connector on the XBox is attached)

Cheers

John

Thanks Acid - I didn't realise that at all! I've checked and it's a 175w Falcon / Opus PSU I need :) I'll update the main thread. Thanks again!

I'll check to see if I have a spare 150w and if so I can let my 203w go to a good home...

I have a spare 175watter if RED can't find his.

Thanks Red, Moggsie can you let me know how much you want for your PSU please?

Shall we say £15 including delivery?

Is it just the PSU you want? Or do you want the plug as well? I'm not sure if I've got a spare plug.

Any PC power supply cable will work in the power brick (except for some 203w ones with a small plastic nub)

Cheers

John

Another snippet for you mate 360 bricks do not use standard kettle leads. They use a two pin one but i'm not sure if they are propriety or not but I don't know if a standard one will fit any way? here is a link to a BIN so you can see what the official ones look like.

Good grief - do MS not do anything standard lol. Thanks for the info Acid :)

John

3 pin ones work fine ;)

I wrote this a while back to help folks find the right power supply.
The odd notch in the AC side of early PSUs was to keep our suppliers honest. We paid a premium for RoHS and globally compliant (especially the plating on the prongs) cables, but suppliers will mix in other cables if they think they can get away with it.

Sorry Moggsie - forgot to come back and update the thread that I got the brick safe and sound. Heading over to leave feedback just now :) Thanks again; John

No probs skip. I had noticed your silence but assumed a quiet man must be a happy man.

Feedback returned so this thread can be put to bed.
