Hi,

I'm new to Amigas, never had one before as I couldn't afford one when they were new. I've now got a couple, an A500+ and an A1200. Fascinated by the OS, which unless I'm misremembering is much more sophisticated than PCs were in the early 90s [pre-95 and NT4]. The video output is kinda irritating though [hate using the telly except for games]. Got my A1200 networked and ftp'd files across from a PC.

Kind of wondering where to go from here, whether to upgrade the 1200 or convert it to a tower; parts seem very expensive but wow, they are available which I think is amazing. Or I may try out UAE; always think it's fun to use original hardware but sometimes the hassles make you wonder.

You should have plenty of fun on here with a welcome like that

There are bits of new and old kit that are not that expensive. Although depending on how far you want to go you may need a big wallet

Have a look at some of the for sale ads, ask questions if you want in the amioracle section, but most of all have fun while doing it
