Hello there my fellow AmiBayer's
Today I am literally only a couple steps from finishing my Entertainment Setup or Shrine if you will..
I have been very lucky over the last 5/6 years in collecting, most of my collection has been though the generosity of friends I have met along life's way and from a few of the most awesome people of AmiBay.
so here is my entertainment setup, I look forward to seeing yours
(remember click images to Zoom)

Daaadaaaa... I recently got my 42" plasma back from being repair (see firmware flashed
)
Rebuilt the house filestore PC it now has 6TB of data store =) and is tidied up, hidden behind the right tower... so lets take a closer look at the setup-ups
Lets get Sony out of the way first
The Classic Playstation PSx -

This one is modified for backups, homebrew and region free =)
I got this from time_let_it_go - cheers kevbit!
The Playstation 2 (phat: rev9 actually)

This particular Rev 9 has been modified with a ModBo 780 chip and 180GB Hard-disk... boots straight to the HDD loader
Just underneath is my Media PC - a simple afair by todays standards
AMD 7750+ dual core
4GB DDR3 XMS Dual Chanel RAM
Nvidia 9800 GTX 512MB
500GB HDD
2.1 Sound
Vista Business 64
The Playstation 3 (Slim 250GB) & XBox360: Arcade

I do like the PS3 as a home console, as you can see I am a bit of a Sony fanboi, amongst other things =)
As you can see I also have an XBox360 donated by a certain Ferrari parts manager (cheers buddy) that wants me to get it online for some Forza 3 fun.... all I need are some controllers and gen one power pack.... its the only thing keeping me from getting my butt kicked.... but don't hell him that =)
And since we are on about XBoxes -
The Original Xbox (250GB)

This little puppy is modded up with an Xecutor 2.6CE and a nice 250GB and is a mainstay of much fun and mayhem on Friday Curry Nights with the guys... with all sorts of retrolicious emulation / mame / Xbox games and watching movies from the Filestore =)
I got into XBox's from my friend Sarek2k, and have much to say thanks for (cheers buddy)
So now... lets talk Sega
The MegaDrive / MegaCD / 32x

This is the sought after "High Definition Graphics" MegaDrive, I found this one at a Car boot sale all alone... for *ahem very little indeed :shhh:
Next up is the Mega/Sega CD, I got this from time_let_it_go, (cheers buddy) =), after the MegaCD is the 32x, I got this recently from a trade with a really great AmiBayer fatbob_gb. This completes my Sega MegaDrive collection - but not the story.... as there will be more soon, with a little help from gazcbm =)
The Sega Saturn

Now, I got this from "the other bay" for a very good deal, this little puppy is now mod-chipped with thanks to a certain Ferrari Parts Manager (cheers buddy) for getting me a mod chip and helping me install it =)
The more I play on this little monster the more I enjoy it... while the graphics are in places nothing short of hideous!, however there's a lot of charm in this system, with Manx TT and Command & Conquer really shining at the moment... I have some more time planned when I get the unit region modded =)
The Sega DreamCast

This is another little gem that I found at a car-boot sale, both Yorkie4 and I managed to score two units + leads, controllers, games - for a "you wouldn't believe it price" :shhh:
I have to admit.... house of the dead.... with lightguns / force feedback and two players.... thats Gaming guys!
The Panosonic FZ-1 3DO

As a young lad, I would see this little monster and think... one day I will have one of them... just look at that Wing-Commander! over time, these little pieces of history were lost in the recess... a couple of years back I was lucky to get involved in a retro show called Byte Back... and WOW... what a time... non-stop awesome!.... it was there I was reacquainted with this little temptress... and it was then I knew... I had to have one... all over again.
This little puppy found its way to me by the graces of a really top bloke and AmiBayer that you all know and love (JuvUK) I really owe you buddy, my sincere thanks.
Here is a special picture - just for you...

So that's my Entertainment "Shrine" Setup... while I placed these interactive pieces together its the people I met along its way that mean the most to me... each piece has a history and a shared experience and its that which this setup stands for really... I cannot thank all those that have helped me with equipment and advice in making this setup... cheers guys (and girls) =)
I have two more "final" pieces to add, and that is a CD32 and Nintendo Game Cube... this will be added over the next couple of weeks and when I get a mod chip for the Game Cube and some parts for the CD32 ... oh and also find room for them LOL.
So now that you have seen my Homage to retro/modern gaming... what have you got?
