Nice! ...

Where does that tiny door lead?

To a cupboard that houses all boxes for all my electronic kit.

Also keep all my unused kit in there. Not much kit at all, only thing that's any good in my setup is the Quad Lite speaker set which I managed to get an 80% discount on

I have lots of kit in storage, but here is my retro & new "corner" at the moment with my current play things

Mac Mini Core Duo 1.66 with Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse from Amibay

Panasonic FZ-10 NTSC Japanese Model

Megadrive II with Everdrive (Amibay!)

Xbox 360 Elite (Amibay!)

Amiga 1200 (AT Model, 2GB CF HD and ACA1230, PCMCIA CF Adapter) from Amibay!

Here is a shelf of odd and sods!

Great Thread!

here's my (rather small) Retro Corner: -

I hope one day when we move to a bigger place I can have a whole room to fill up with retrogoodness :)

Here's my arcade cab (in disguise): -

That's a great looking arcade cab :)
Stealthy indeed. Wife approved product right there :)

Loving the N64 balanced on top of the Gameboy ADV box lol

That's what my stuff is stacked up like most of the time although my Saturn, PC Engine and N64 are in a box at the moment :(

Aye, its the only way I could get an Arcade Machine in the living room :D It looks weird, but works well and since I built it 3 years ago its been working perfectly. One day i'd like a REAL Neo Geo MVS Cab (the original Red one) stood in a basement along with one or two more real cabs and pinball machines.... Pool table and a bar maybe as well :D

Mmmm, get a nice Terminator 2 pinball machine. Always wanted one of those :)

@Phipsy - very neat and awesome setup there my friend! I've seen you retro cab before and good to see a photo of it agian. reminds me just how cool it is :)

I'll fire some photo's up of my setup in a mo.

Right so here's my wee set up now :)

Split into living room and upstairs small study.

Pic 1 - Living room console Setup. I have an XBOX360, PS3, PS2, Wii and CD32 in there
Pic 2 - Living Room AV stuff. My lovely Denon AV AMP and 1080p TV :)
Pic 3 - My cool fold out desk. This is my retro computer collection. Spectrum 128 with DIVIDE; Sinclair QL; Commodore 128; Commodore Amiga 1200. Peaking in from the corner is my "spare" Silicon Graphics Octane machine
Pic 4 - My PC Gubbins (Fairly high spec Mesh machine) and my main Silicon Graphics Octane. I use the wee Samsung 4:3 LCD for my Amiga and all my other comuters use the Sony Trinitron
Pic 5 - All together - just showing my retro desk folded closed - nice and neat

There's a pile of other stuff in the loft but these are the toys I mess around with regularly.

John

Nice setup John! I love that fold up Retro cupboard, I've been looking at the pic to see how it all folds together, quite amazing!

Seriously impressive, wife friendly setups there chaps! Awesome work. :)

Being married sure must bring out the creative side of guys :D lol. Personally though I'd rather have them on show. :p

@Phipsy - Cheers mate - took a long time choosing that desk and in the end i got exactly what I needed and also got a great deal on it so it was win win :)

@Amineo - yeah - I know what you mean but I like having the little bit extra space in a very small room otherwise I would have them all on display.

My mate has a basement that is absolutely awesome. He has many retro machines in there and all have their own desk; appropriate tv or monitor (BBC's have CUB monitors; CBM's have 1084's and so on) and there are even magazine racks next to each one with the appropriate magazines of the day. It's a proper working museum! If I had the space I would do the same :)

I looked hard for this thread again because my retro corner is changing! You can see the original above and this is the current build (in progress!) of a fitted cupboard.

There will be glass doors in front of the frame - I am only allowed 1/3 of the space which is where the monitor is. I have only got a few items to show the potential

Looks like you're downgrading your retro space my friend. the old setup looked more comfortable. Will be good to see the finished project though

Cheers

Not my choice ;) having to make the best of a new room layout thanks to Mrs B!

Still the shelves may give me more possibilities.
