zx spectrum 128k +2 grey case

Hello ive recently acquired this lovely machine but the cassette deck isn't working properly so heres my question..

on the old 48 and spectrum + they had an ear/mic socket
is it possible to put these onto a zx speccy 128k + 2 grey case.

And has this been done before and if so is there a diagram to help me out. as I have a spare 48k which is dead and could use the ear/mic sockets from them

So it should be possible on the +2.

It should be possible as I remember hitching up a jack to the mainboard of the speccy to plug in my tape recorder. If you dont want to go down that route see if one of those cassette adapters work.

Ive sent away for 2 new drive belts in the hope it maybe that, that's the problem but if not I will deffo go down that route
