I trust most of you interested in all things speccy have heard about this kickstarter campaign?

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1835143999/zx-spectrum-next

In short it's a hardware exact implementation of a Spectrum in a FPGA, heavily expanded and upgraded but with all the "legacy" connectors still present.

The hardware exists and the kickstarter is already funded, with almost a month left to go. Check it out!

I'm in for this, a board for delivery circa August (apparently it fits in a 48K/+/128K Speccy case), and a full fat machine in January. It looks brilliant.

I'm tempted by this as I have an extra case that would fit the bill. Have to check my financial situation when the kickstarter is closer to end.

Mhmm ... there is so many spectrums around plus hardware and software emulators.

You might well buy Raspberry pi 3, put spectrum emulators in and cost is £30.

On other Hand, it is nice to see new Hardware from them that had options of either 3.5MHZ or 7MHZ :)

Emulation has it's slot in the market.

I prefer real hardware hence why I have Rubber key 48k + DivMMC. but i do like the idea of this.

My Mist Fpga is 99% compatible with spectrum and works really well with built in Divide, but some title don't work as expected, Atic Atac for example, loads, you get the title screen then you start the game to a black screen, it's not crashed, you can hear the game and move the character around and shoot. will the new Kickstarter overcome the same issues as it is FPGA right ??

I am not zx speccy fan but I have backed it as it like having New Amiga with 256 Colours on screen! :)
