If you're a craftsperson of any kind, you'll know very well that you have to start dealing with Christmas-related items quite early. I've been doing just that lately, and even my lemmings are getting into the festive spirit*!

The outfit is the coat and hat from a Santa outfit for 16" teddy bears, manufactured by Teddy Mountain (a stuffable bears and accessories manufacturer and franchise that competes with Build-A-Bear Workshop). The hat is going to need some adjustment, though, as it's designed for plushes with much bigger heads; I had to use a sewing clip in order to get it to fit right for the photo, and I'll be modifying the hat forthwith.

Ever since I found out that 15" Build-A-Bear Workshop compatible teddy bear clothing will fit my plush lemmings in the sort of baggy style that some official Lemmings artwork employs for some articles of lemming-clothing, I knew that I'd have to take a Christmas Lemmings picture at some point, and here it is. It was a fun diversion from stitching, for a little while!

*Ok, well, actually, Darwin here was none too happy about having to dress like this in the current heatwave, even if it was only for a few minutes, but I think that he looks incredibly cute, nonetheless. ;) Even the smaller lemmings, Amigo and Mr. Lemming, got in on the act.

Bring on the festive season!

While I think it is WAY too early to be thinking about Christmas, these guys are super adorable. :)

Thanks! (y)

I do try to get Christmas stuff dealt with early, but this is very early even for me, I admit. The difference this time is that I'm having to hand-sew a bunch of stuff for a pre-Christmas get-together, and if I don't start now, I may not get it all finished in time - there's a fair bit of it to do!
