In a rare instance of currently-available merchandise being covered here, here is a luggage tag modelled after the original "house brick" Game Boy, in its classic colour-scheme.
As the hot weather hits, many are now preparing for their summer holidays - what better way to label your luggage, and show a bit of your personality while you're at it, than something like this?
Instead of using the trademarked (and very, very famous) Game Boy name, the handheld depicted on this chunky silicone bag-tag bears the name "Luggage Boy". Sure, it's not especially original, but it's such a good-looking tag that this really doesn't matter.
The back has a card for writing your details on, and a clear piece of plastic to protect the card - both are held in place by the carabiner clip that lets you hook it onto your bag, so they can't be removed (or fall out) unless you specifically remove the clip in order to do so. The clip is held in place very well by the tag itself, and is a bit tricky to remove in a hurry, so it seems that the info-card is pretty safe.
If you want to get one of your own, these are carried by retro goods shop, TruffleShuffle.com, and the gift shop at the website of The Centre for Computing History in Cambridge. The latter also sells a matching "Key Boy" keyring, and "Retro Boy" cufflinks, too.
